Steamboat Captains

This collection consists of one folder of the names of the captains and their vessels on the rivers before 1867. The list includes the Apalachicola/Chattahoochee and Flint rivers. It was compiled by Edward A. Mueller, a well-known Florida steamboat authority, for his book published in 1986. The folder was originally numbered MC 087 when it was part of the Columbus Public Library.

The marriage license index page, in alphabetical order of groom’s last names from Aaron to Zuber, shows the roll number of the microfilm housed at the Georgia State Archives.
