Columbus Baseball Stock Certificate
Item is a framed stock certificate for a quarter share in the Columbus Base Ball Association. Certificate is in the name of W.J. Sikes. Document signed on 6 November 1908 by J.E.P. Stevens, Secretary and Harry L. Williams, President. Item donated by the granddaughter of William Sykes.

Columbus Board of Commissioners Minutes
These transcribed minutes record the appointment of men to various positions, from chain carriers for the surveyors to town councilmen. This council set rules for who paid tolls to cross the bridge to Alabama, how close to the river trees could be cut and how the sale of land to private individuals and to businesses would be conducted, among many other rules and regulations. These transcripts were created in 1940, probably as a WPA project.
Columbus Botanical Gardens Records
The materials in this collection show the development of the Columbus Botanical Garden on Weems Road in Columbus. Photographs of the original property show the 1896 house and the outbuildings. Aerial photographs show the garden development.
Columbus Business & Professional Women’s Club Collection
Columbus Commissioners Report and Surveyor’s Report, 1828
This small collection consists of copies of the Minutes of the Board of Commissioners for the Town of Columbus, 1828 and a copy of the Surveyor’s Report with notes and drawings completed by E .L. Thomas. This small collection was added to the CSU Archives when the Columbus Public Library closed its archival materials in 2013 and donated the material to the CSU Archives. The collection was originally labelled MC 099 at the public library.
