The story of George Monroe Adams and his family can primarily start on the plantation farm his family owned in the McCrary District of Columbus, Georgia on Hamilton Road in the northern part of Muscogee county. The property was bought in 1918 by Charlotte Woodville Weems Adams, William Andrew Weems, her brother, and George Monroe Adams, her son.
