This collection deals primarily with the family of Reverend Arminius Wright (1829-1879), a Georgia-born Methodist minister, who was affiliated with St. Paul's Methodist Church in Columbus. In the spring of 2010, students in Dr. Amanda Rees' Cultural Landscapes class at Columbus State University studied the cultural landscape of the Wynnton neighborhood of Columbus, Georgia to better understand their community. The students interviewed 10 community leaders and other residents who lived and worked both north and south of the road, often called the “Macon-Dixon Line”, suggesting a hard division between north and south Columbus.
