Scope and Contents
This collection consits of 20 series featuring correspondence, photographs, audio/visual materials, and hand written notes of Col. Richard Hallock during his time in the United States Military. This collection covers his time in Iran, development of RAND, Korea Conflict, World War II, several U.S. Bases including Fort Henry Benning.

Materials Specific Details
Major Hallock was promoted to Lt. Colonel under the command of Maj Gen. Lionel C. McGarr.
While at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, Col. Hallock was the Special Assistant to the Commandant, Army Command and General Staff College. He participated in the rewriting of the Army curriculum and the reorganization of the command structure. While at Fort Leavenworth, he worked on the structure of multiple classes that were offered. He also worked closely with the Commandant preparing course catalogs, guides and other material that was needed for the running of the College.
