This collection consits of 20 series featuring correspondence, photographs, audio/visual materials, and hand written notes of Col. Richard Hallock during his time in the United States Military. This collection covers his time in Iran, development of RAND, Korea Conflict, World War II, several U.S. Bases including Fort Henry Benning.

The index lists 1663 items arranged in 34 binders, referred to as books in the index. In addition to these indexed items, there are correspondence files and other materials related to SAWS.
Some items are not in chronological order and are instead placed in separate books, such as Item 77, which falls within the time span of book12, but is in its own book 13. Other examples abound.
