Scope and Contents

This small collection consists of 2 photographs of students on the porch of a one room schoolhouse in Cataula in Harris County, Georgia. The teacher is the same person in each photo. Identified in the 1910 photograph is Frank Pope Speight, the grandfather of the donor Greg Waldrep. Frank is also in the 1908 photograph, as is his sister Berta, top right back row. Berta was born in 1892. The exact location of the school is unknown but is believed to be in Cataula, off of Rt 27 to the right in 315.
