Biographical / Historical
The Centennial Olympic Games held in Atlanta in the summer of 1996 were the largest Games ever with more sports, athletes, countries and spectators. These Games commemorated the 100-year anniversary of the Modern Olympic Games. These games were also special in that it was the only time Olympic Games had taken place in the American south.
Otis Burnham was a resident of Columbus who purchased the Olympic Hospitality package for the Games, including tickets, special events surrounding the Olympics and other benefits. He was born in 1929 and died in 2015. He worked in transportation in Burnham van Lines and Burnham Services .MC 125 has a more complete biography of Mr. Burnham.
