Angie Lena Taylor (1904-1996) was born in Georgia to Thomas K. Taylor and Lena Taylor. In the 1910 census, the family lived on Hamilton Rd, Nances, and Angie was 6. By the 1920 census, she was 16 and lived on Thomas Ave, Ward 6 near 23rd and Hamilton. Since the work in the notebook is a child's, the school could be Rose Hill Elementary, judging by the addresses and attendance zones. By 1922 she was attending the Georgia State Normal School in Athens and is the "Chi Chi" vice-president. 1930 finds her a teacher in Columbus, living at home with her mother and siblings at age 24. She married Ennis A. Davis (1898-1956), a veterinarian, and they lived at 927 Peachtree from the early 1940s until her death in 1996. She is buried in Parkhill Cemetery.
