Nathan Bussey was born on February 5, 1798, in Lincoln County, Georgia and died on October 4, 1886, in Talbot County, Georgia. He was a farmer in Talbot County. He married Lucy Anne Baugh (1805-1861) in 1821 and they had eight children. In 1863 he married again to Catherine R. Blackman.
