Biographical / Historical

The Overlook neighborhood off of Wynnton Road in Columbus was laid out in 1926 with paved sidewalks, shade trees, sewer, electricity and water. It was developed and improved by Lloyd G. Bowers on a tract of 80 acres. The original lots were being sold for $ 3000. Since the area was outside the city limits, there were no taxes. E.S. Draper was the landscape architect. Hugh McMath was the local engineer in charge of the project. The grading contractor was J. Banks Yonge.

The penciled addresses were added from the 1930 City Directory for convenience.
