The Lunsford family history is well documented in these materials, which include genealogy records for a far-reaching number of families, census records and maps from the states where the Lunsford families settled.

Biographical / Historical

Harlan Fountain Lunsford was born June 5, 1936 in Cuthbert, Georgia, the son of Harlan Fountain Lunsford, Sr. and Loris Bostick Lunsford. He grew up in Dawson, Georgia and learned the grocery business from his father who owned a wholesale grocery. He graduated from Terrell County High Scholl and attended and graduated from North Georgia College in 1958. He served in the US Army Intelligence Branch. After serving, he settled in Smiths Station, in the Columbus/Phenix City area. He died 17 Feb 2015 and is buried in Brooksville Cemetery in Cuthbert, Georgia.
