Scope and Contents
The material consists of several yearbooks, photographs, newspaper clippings, and memorabilia once belonging to Cottie B. Slade, a 1959 graduate of Columbus High School. The bulk of the newspaper clippings are engagement/wedding announcements of friends and former classmates from the 1960s.

Biographical / Historical
Cottie Beverly Slade was born in Montgomery, Alabama on May 7, 1941 to Harry L. and Corrine Bryant Slade. Her parents owned the Orange Bowl Diner located on Broadway in Columbus for many years. Cottie Slade was a graduate of Columbus High School in 1959 and Agnes Scott College. After college, Cottie served as the Director of Human Resources for C&S Bank. She died in Atlanta on September 8, 2016.
