Biographical / Historical

According to a 1968 or 1969 speech on the history of the club, the Tea Olive Garden Club was formed in 1934 by Sue Mathews and Mattie Flournoy. The first president was Mrs. Frank Schley. The club was a member of the United Garden Clubs of Columbus until 1958, when it seceded. It rejoined the United Garden Clubs in 1965.
