The Muscogee Retired Educators Association (MREA) is a branch of the Georgia Retired Educators Association. The Association is comprised of retired teachers, administrators, and support personnel who taught in the Muscogee County School District. The Georgia Retired Educators Association began in 1958 to unite retired educators for fellowship. The MREA meets a few times a year for a luncheon and program. Members are active in the community, contributing many volunteer hours and services. Each county group puts together a scrapbook of their yearly activities to submit to the state conference every year.
