The Kiss material relates to the publication of J. Tom Morgan's book, Kiss Impressions: My Love Affair with Lithography, including: The acquiring of permissions to include materials from copyright owners, the contract with the Rochester Institute of Technology to establish and maintain the Morgan Scholarship Endowment, donations to the endowment, manuscripts of the book, and other ancillary items. The reasons for placement of particular items in folders are not always obvious, but Tom Morgan usually had a reason. An example is the letters in the KISS – L folder which are not to or from individuals nor entities beginning with an L. It became clear to the processor, however, that they were considered part of the legal activities relating to copyright permissions, hence Morgan's placement of these items in the KISS – Legal folder.
