Scope and Contents
This is a mixtape containing recordings of various concerts featuring Galos’ colleague and friend, Mischa Mischakoff (1896-1981). Mischakoff left Russia in 1921 and made his career as a violinist in the U.S., becoming a citizen in 1927. He was also the uncle of Galos’ wife, Ruth. The dates of these performances range from 1937 to 1947.
