Scope and Contents

It is wooden with flowers painted on the top and contained the 19th century correspondence of various Hardaways and related families which have been flattened and interfiled chronologically in the Correspondence series. Now it contains the following loose items: A master key in an envelope, September 30, 1931 Membership pin for the Rod & Gun club of Fort Benning, BHH III, 1973-1974 Drivers’ license, BHH III, 1970s National Steeplechase and Hunt Association Card, BHH III, 1979 Passport, BHH III, 1975 Passport, BHH III, 1985 International Certificates of Vaccination, Mason H. Lampton, 1993 National Rifle Association Life Member patch, nd National Rifle Association Second Amendment Task Force Official Commission 90th Infantry Regiment pins (4), nd Major insignia pins (4), nd U.S. pins, (4), nd United States Equestrian Federation Lifetime Member pin, nd Unites States Lawn Tennis Association Honorary Life Member card, nd Miscellaneous pieces in the Clark Box, nd Magazine [ammunition clip] “from Clark box”, nd [N.B. – The following oversized artifacts are housed in the map room.] The following items are in the map room: 2 Framed Photographic Portraits of Robert Archelaus Hardaway Framed Virginia Military Institute diploma of Benjamin Hurt Hardaway Jr., 1913 Framed Virginia Military Institute diploma of Benjamin Hurt Hardaway III, 1940 Framed presentation document and a 19th century button to Benjamin Hurt Hardaway III on the occasion of his 50th class reunion, 1990
