This ledger book is from an unidentified Columbus business establishment and covers 1846 and 1847. It was reused as a scrapbook sometime in the 19th century. This involved pasting newspaper clippings, fashion plates, and paper ephemera on top of the ledger entries which are therefore mostly obscured. Many pages are cut out and partially torn. It is in very fragile condition.
