This folder contains the basic documents of Craig’s military service, from his first notice to register for the draft, general selective service information, his draft notice, his induction into the army, the completion of basic and other training courses, promotions, discharge, return to civilian life information, benefits, etc. It also includes Veterans Administration information such as his insurance and other benefits. Besides the official documentation of his military career, it also contains Craig’s unofficial service diaries, contained in two notebooks detailing each of his postings from his induction at Fort Bragg to his discharge as Fort McPherson. These notebooks act as a table of contents for his movements during his military service.
