This folder contains photocopies of correspondence relating to Carson McCullers’ visit to John Houston in Ireland in April of 1967, as well as her subsequent stroke and death. Included are letters to and from Robert Lanz, her agent, as well as Mary Mercer, Gladys Hill and others. It also includes correspondence to and from Dr. Carr, John Huston and Gladys Hill about Carr’s research for her biography of McCullers, The Heart is a Lonely Hunter.
