Scope and Contents From the Collection:

The 5 boxes of watercolors and drawings are of the churches and synagogues in Sampson's book Historic Churches and Temples of Georgia. The boxes correspond to the chapters in her book and the drawings listed in each chapter. There are also 10 framed paintings. The 6th box houses her book, brochure and photographs of the works sold before donating the collection to the CSU archives in 2015.

In addition to this material, Carson McCullers’ personal library from her home at 131 South Broadway in Nyack, New York was part of Dr. Mercer’s bequest to the Columbus State University Archives, and is separately housed...

Scope and Contents From the Collection: It is important to note that the survival of the various types of documentation across the nearly 140 years of its existence is very uneven. There are large gaps in each of the series. T he minutes of the Board of Directors, for example, is virtually complete for the period from 1898 through 1947 and virtually non-existent for the period before that. This collection consists of photographs, awards, plaques and seven scrapbooks documenting the career of Tom B. Buck, III. Awards and certificates have been removed from their original frames and placed in folders. Photographs were removed from their frames as well and placed in folders. The vast majority of the materials show Tom standing with other lawmakers including Governors, representatives, and celebrities.
